Made in Rusthall
I’ve been super busy recently with a new project called Made in Rusthall. I have always liked sewing and my decision not to return to library or indeed office life for now got me thinking about trying to make a go of something I quite enjoy doing. I’m calling it the fingers in pies approach to earning a living and the bottom line is it’s about being content rather than great riches. Sew, (geddit?!), I thought I’m surrounded by talented women who can craft, create, paint, crochet, and all with a kid under each arm, so why don’t we get together and see what we can do. And so under the banner Made in Rusthall, a craft collective was born. If you see something you like on the site, it’s probably for sale, or if it isn’t, we’d be pleased to make you another.

The Gallivanting Goddesses stride again
When we put a date in the diary for a stroll in the English countryside a few months ago we weren’t expecting it to be on the hottest day of the year. I mean we’ve done Oxfam’s 100km Trailwalker in the blistering heat so a 12 mile circular walk on the Kent and East Sussex borders would quite literally be a stroll in the woods. Despite the heat, sweat and stinging nettles, it was a glorious day.

Perfect tomato soup
I got into making soup a few years ago and have been searching for the perfect tomato soup ever since. My own creations have never quite cut the mustard, so without further ado, Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present to you, Delia’s Roasted tomato soup with puree of basil and olive croutons.
